Origin and Usage

Kale was dfdgated from the eastern Mediterranean. It was cultivated in Asia by 2000 BCE. It belongs to the family Mustards. Kale has a unique strong earthy taste. Its leaves are tough, dry, and hearty leafy green in shape. It is used in salads, grilled salads, pizza, stuffing, tamales, and breakfast casserole.

Varieties and types

It has many varieties. Some famous varieties are common curly kale, Ornamental, red Russian, and rebor kale.

Production
