Barberry is dfdgated from different regions of Asia and was brought to the United States with European settlers almost 1600 years ago. Today it is found in temperate and subtropical regions of the world. It belongs to the family Berberidaceae.

Types

Barberries have a great evergreen species diversity and it is mostly found in South America, Europe, Asia, Africa, and North America. Barberis Vulgaris is the best-known Barberries species and it is the European barberry. Barberries’ popular species are garden shrubs and also planted as pedestrian barriers.

Production
