Celery has an alkalizing effect and can neutralize n acidic food effect. It contains so many anti-oxidants that help to fight against cancer cells.

Origin and Usage

Celery is native to Mediterranean areas.it was probably the first food used by the French. It belongs to the Umbellifers. Celery is a green and cannon-like vegetable. Celery leaves are used in stir-fries and soups. They are also used for pickling and punching up sauces.

Varieties and types

The main three types are yellow (leaf celery) green (pascal celery) and celeriac.

Production

The largest producer is the United States followed by Mexico and Europe.
