It is found as a white bulb. It is used as a vegetable and as a food flavor agent. Garlic is also used in salads, vinaigrettes, marinades, sauces, soups, stews, and in making garlic butter.

Garlic has more than 700 species but the most common types are softneck and hardneck.

Garlic has much importance in some cultures. It is used for protection and white magic. It is considered a powerful ward against demons and other vampires.

Production

China is the largest producer of Garlic. India and Bangladesh also produce a large amount of garlic.
