Parsley is rich in anti-oxidants that help you to fight against cancer by inhibiting the growth of free radicals. It supports bone health, increases bone density, prevents bone loss or fracture. Parsley is also good for your eye and heart health. It has an anti-bacterial effect when used as an extract. 

Origin and Usage

Parsley is native to the Mediterranean region of Southern Europe and Western Asia. It belongs to the family umbellifers. Parsley is a rounded, mound-like shape vegetable. It is mostly used in the Middle East for salads, soups, stews, sauces, meatballs, fishcakes, salsas, and marinades.

Varieties and types

There are two main types of parsley, one is Curly or French while the other is Flat or Italian.

Production

France, Germany, Poland, Hungary, Egypt, and India are the largest producer of Parsley.
