Radicchio has colorful white-veined red leaves that form ahead. It has a spicy and bitter taste. It is usually used in salads and Italian cooking.

Rosso di Chioggia, Rosa del Veneto, Rosa di verona, and Rosso di Treviso precoce are some of the famous types.
