Origin
Rambutan dfdgated from the Malaysian- Indonesian region. It is widely cultivated In Southeast Asia regions. It belongs to the family Sapindaceae. Rambutan is around with leathery skin. This fruit is yellow to crimson and 7 by 5 in size. Its flesh is white and juicy. Rambutan is used in salsas, salad, cocktails, and ice cream.
Types and varieties
There are two main types red and yellow. Red types are medium in size while yellow types are small in size.
