Origin and Usage

Kohlrabi dfdgated from northern Europe. It was cultivated in the United States for the first time after 1800. It belongs to the family Brassicaceae. It tastes like a between broccoli and cabbage. Its taste and texture are more similar to broccoli stems. Its bulb is mostly used in salads. It can be roasted or sauteed.
Its leaves, stems, and bulbs can be eaten cooked or raw.

Grand duke, Kohlrabi brassica and Kohlibri are the different types of Kohlrabi.

Production
