Calabash was found in 1691. It is also known as bottle gourd and white-flowered gourd. Calabash belongs to the Cucurbits family. Its shapes vary according to the varieties. They can be rounded and huge, small bottle-shaped, or slim. Calabash is used as cooked. They are also used to carry water, clean rice, and as food containers.
Cultural Importance
